Using Project Schedules to Protect Your Rights

When a project runs late, whose fault is it?

Subcontractors are accountable to the GC’s schedule and may be asked to accelerate their work or work out of sequence — EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT AT FAULT. Even worse, a GC may randomly assign back charges to a subcontractor of their choosing to correct damaged or incorrectly installed work even if it’s not their fault. This is just one example of many issues that could arise on a project.

This session will explore how to protect your company’s rights under the contract, and the steps you can take to manage your risk and protect your rights.
