THE STA WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU!

As we start 2019, I would like to take this opportunity to urge our members to get more involved with the STA!

The STA can be a resource to our subcontractor and industry members and allow you to advance the interests of your own business.  The STA has had a long tradition and outstanding track record in defending the interests of its members with legislators, public and private owners, and other groups.

Consider joining one of the STA’s committees!  Your experience and expertise can go a long way towards serving the union subcontractor community through your involvement with our standing STA committees.  I invite you to become active on one of our committees such as Legislative, Public Agencies, Insurance, and Marketing, among others.  Our Advisory Board is always in need of a few volunteers in assisting our Board of Directors in setting the agenda and policies of the STA.  Our newly formed Young Professionals Committee will serve as a place for the next generation of STA professionals to learn more about our industry and provide networking opportunities that will be useful to their companies.  Your investment of time in joining one of these committees or boards will be well spent while positively impacting the economic health and welfare of union subcontractors in New York City.

There is power in numbers and the STA can be more of a force as a voice for union subcontractors if we continue to grow our membership.  We need more subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals to join our organization.  I ask that you take a few minutes to identify and refer to my office potential members.  As we grow our membership, the STA will be better positioned to advocate for our members in Albany and City Hall.
